Phoenix: This drawing represents a rebirth and metamorphosis of nature, not only in the phoenix rising from the ashes metaphor, but from my own interest and awe at the way nature is reborn each season. I have been told this drawing is very reminiscent of the Harry Potter series of books and movies, although this was done before I had ever heard of Harry Potter and his magical world of earwax jellybeans.
